Barbara S. Lovejoy, CPA, AIF®
Barbara is a Certified Public Accountant and a Registered Investment Advisor. She joined the firm in 2003 and works with individuals, families, trusts, charitable foundations and retirement plans. In addition to advising clients on their investment policies and asset allocation, she specializes in providing financial planning in the areas of retirement, education, tax and estate planning. Barbara combines personal attention with comprehensive financial planning to help clients build, maintain and protect their net worth. Prior to joining Hunter Associates, she was a Partner with the international firm of Deloitte & Touche and a financial consultant to individuals and privately-held business owners.
Barbara is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Barbara also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ designation awarded by The Center for Fiduciary Studies. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Investment Professionals. Barbara has served as President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, President of the IUP Alumni Association and Vice President and Treasurer of the Foundation for IUP.
Barbara is a native of Western Pennsylvania and enjoys travel and golf.
Accredited Investment Fiduciary™: The AIF® credential is awarded by The Center for Fiduciary Studies. To attain the AIF® credential the candidate must meet a point-based threshold based on a combination of education, relevant industry experience and/or professional development. Candidates complete a course that prepares participants to conduct fiduciary assessments on a plan or firms’ conformance to legal and regulatory obligations associated with the fiduciary standard and professional best practices. Additionally, individuals must pass a final certification examination.
