Robert “Jay” Daniel, CFA
Jay joined Hunter Associates in 2014. As an investment advisor, Jay specializes in providing investment counsel and financial planning advice. Prior to joining Hunter Associates, Jay held positions with Raymond James Financial, Mellon Financial Corporation and Federated Investors as a securities analyst.
Jay is a graduate of Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in history. He earned his M.B.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and received the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2001. Jay was the winner in 2004 and 2005 and the runner-up in 2006 of the Pittsburgh Society of Financial Analysts Stock Selection Contests.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®): This designation is offered by the CFA Institute. To obtain the CFA charter, candidates must successfully complete three exams and gain at least three years of qualifying work experience, among other requirements. In passing these exams, candidates demonstrate their competence, integrity and extensive knowledge in accounting, ethical and professional standards, economics, portfolio management and security analysis.
